23 obus datant de la Première Guerre mondiale ont été retrouvés à l’occasion de travaux effectués sur le côté ouest de la gare (destiné à accueillir le futur parking du pôle d’échange multimodal de Saint-Dié). Ils ont par la suite été emmenés sur le site des démineurs à Colmar.
Par sécurité, la police conseille à la population de ne pas toucher ou déplacer ce genre de munitions.
