The First Head Assistant of Düsseldorf Fire Brigade, Mr. Ulrich Cimolino, reminds us of the danger of the war remnants of war in German forest, taking as starting point an article posted on Facebook by the Soest-Sauerland Regional Forestry Office. The post is focused on evidences of the war still visible on the ground, like craters caused by explosions of aircraft bombs. It could be possibile to identify those ones due to smaller bombs, but only if the observer were more experienced. “Sauerland is a region in North Rhine-Westphalia Lander, heavily bombed during the Second World War. This area was invided by American troops too. The photo of the crater recalls the time I spent in Italy, places where the bomb craters are visible (Muggia, Treviso, Faenza, Bologna, Rome etc. etc). Not to mention those ones in the sea, equally visible” Once again we thank Mr. Ulrich Cimolino and look forward to his other testimonies. Sara Gorelli
