Cambridge, I am proud to tell my son’s act
A 11 years old boy generates panick in the city. In company of his father, he is equipped with rope and magnet and fishes a bomb dated back to the second world war, from Cam river. Our congratulations go to the caring parent, who was proud of the son’s success and also was indifferent to the danger. He is not ashamed of himself, moreover, he is happy to be interviewed, as what happened was a story worthy to be told. It is exactly as if a parent would see the son running with a gun and be happy about it. S.J.A.L.
Un ragazzino di 11 anni crea panico ed emergenza in città. Il piccolo in compagnia del padre, munito di cima e magnete “pesca” dal fiume Cam una bomba da mortaio, risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. I nostri complimenti vanno all’attenzione del premuroso genitore che orgoglioso del “successo” del figlio e indifferente al pericolo corso dal bambino, non si risparmia a rilasciare interviste come se l’accaduto fosse una vicenda da raccontare. Come vedere il proprio figlio con una pistola e correre con entusiasmo a raccontarlo in redazione.

Monty’s dad, Guy, described the moment he realised what his son had pulled out of the river. He said: “I was quite calm when it happened, I don’t think panicking would have been much use. “I just said ‘let’s gently lower it down and walk away’. “I was worried the riverboat Georgina was going to try and dock before the police arrived. Thankfully that didn’t happen and police arrived really quickly.”
