Ayon sa Mayoyao Police Station (MPS), kinabibilangan ang mga bomba ang isang 81 mm na may fuse at pitong 81 mm na wala nang fuse na pinaniniwalaang ginamit noong World Ward II. Sa report ng MPS, kasalukuyan ang road widening at paggawa ng riprap sa harapan mismo ng presinto nang makita ng mga trabahador ang isang vintage bomb. Dito, agad na pinaalam sa pulisya at nagsagawa ng clearing operation ang Ifugao Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit at nadiskubre nila ang pito pang karagdagang bomba sa lugar.
