대구 달서구의 한 공원에서 6·25전쟁 당시 사용한 것으로 추정되는 무기 잔해가 발견돼 군부대로 인계됐다. 25일 50사단 등에 따르면 지난 24일 오후 2시쯤 대구 달서구 선원공원에서 3.5인치 대전차 고폭탄 추진 모터로 추정되는 무기 잔해가 발견됐다. 공원 관계자는 “어제 오후 1시부터 1시간 동안 폭우가 내린 뒤 공원관리인이 순찰을 돌다가 무기 잔해를 발견해 경찰에 신고를 했다”며 선원공원 일대가 과거 군부대로 활용되던 곳인데, 흙이 유실되면서 발견된 것 같다”고 말했다. 신고를 받고 출동한 경찰은 현장 안전 통제에 나섰고 이후 50사단 폭발물 처리반(EOD)이 해당 잔해를 수거해갔다.
