Police and the UK coastguard have closed off an area of ChillIng Beach in Warsash following the discovery of a further unexploded World War Two piece of ordnance. The cordon is both water and land based. A Royal Navy bomb disposal team have been called to assist In making the device safe. The temporary exclusion of 500 metres in the water cover the following area Lat. 50′ 49. 096N Long. 001′ 15. 096W. This is being currently being patrolled by the Hampshire Police marine launch and an MOD launch.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
