Tim Gegana Polda Jatim memastikan 206 benda bulat yang ditemukan pencari logam adalah granat tangan aktif. Granat tangan aktif kemudian didisposal (Dimusnahkan) di sekitar lokasi penemuan di hutan karet PTPN XII Sumber Jambe, Desa Kandangan, Kecamatan Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi. Pemusnahan dipimpin Iptu Agus Hariono dari Tim Gegana Polda Jatim. Lokasi disposal, kata Kapolsek Pesanggaran AKP Subandi, agak jauh dari lokasi penemuan. “Memang benar granat tangan aktif. Kita disposal. Lokasinya agak jauh dari tempat penemuan 206 benda diduga granat,” jelas Kapolsek Pesanggaran, AKP Subandi kepada wartawan, Selasa (21/12/2021). Disposal ini, lanjut AKP Subandi, untuk membuktikan apakah 206 benda itu granat semua atau tidak. Meski ada 8 benda yang diduga granat tangan itu bisa dilihat mirip dengan aslinya. “Disposal untuk mengetahui apakah itu granat aktif,” terang Pesanggaran.
