A Vietnamese couple was killed and their children injured when a wartime bomb exploded while the father was attempting to dismantle it at home on Monday afternoon. The explosion in a rural village in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum killed A Then, the 46-year-old father, on the spot. His wife died on the way to hospital, while his children, aged 9 and 15, are receiving treatment for their injuries.

L’uomo decide di portarla a casa, luogo in cui (secondo la sua idea), l’avrebbe disattivata e venduta, ma l’ordigno esplode.

Nguyên nhân vụ nổ ban đầu được xác định do ông A Then tự ý đập, tháo một quả đạn M79. Theo hàng xóm, quả đạn này được ông A Then nhặt trong một lần đi câu cá.
Gia đình ông A Then có 6 người, khi vụ nổ xảy 4 người ở nhà, 2 con lớn đi làm ruộng nên may mắn thoát nạn.
