Two boys died and two others were wounded when an unidentified unexploded ordnance went off in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur yesterday. John Kin Gregorio, 8, and John Leo Miro, 6, died at the scene. Rea Fee Pucolan, 13, and John Michael Miro, 8, were taken to the Pagadian City Medical Hospital for treatment. Col. Diomarie Albarico, Zamboanga del Sur police director, said the explosion occurred at about 12:30 p.m. outside the residents of the victims in Purok Malipayon. Prior to the explosion, the grandmother of the victims, Fe Pucolan, told probers she saw the children playing with a rusty tube-like object. Probers have yet to determine the type of the ordnance and where the children got it.
