A 12-year-old Bedouin boy was seriously hurt after a grenade he touched exploded in his backyard on Friday morning, medics said. According to the Ynet news site, the boy’s family said that before the explosion he was playing with the grenade. He was brought from a town in the Negev Desert to a main highway near the city of Dimona, and from there medics took him to Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said. There was no immediate comment from police on the incident. Separately, four people, including an 11-year-old boy were wounded in a shooting incident in the southern Bedouin town of Ar’ara BaNegev late Thursday, medics said.
