沖縄本島中南部の7市町村に水道用水を供給する倉敷ダムで、700発余の不発弾とドラム缶2本が見つかった問題で、沖縄防衛局は、7日、調査のため現場周辺の土壌を採取しました。この問題は、先月7日、沖縄市とうるま市にまたがる倉敷ダムで沖縄戦当時のものとみられる不発弾725発と薬莢、ドラム缶2本が見つかっていたもので、倉敷ダムを管理する県は取水を止め、国に調査を求めていました。 こうしたなか、7日、沖縄防衛局などが現場に入りドラム缶周辺の土壌を採取したということです。また、県によりますと爆発の危険性がないとして現場に残されていたドラム缶は撤去され、一般の人が立ち入ることの出来ない安全な場所に仮置きしたとしています 県は、調査結果で水の安全が確認されるまで引き続き取水を見合わせる方針です。
