Μια γυναίκα από τα Χανιά, κάνοντας βόλτα τον σκύλο της και βρήκε κάτι μεταλλικό που της έκανε ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση. Με τη συνδρομη της δημοτικής κοινότητας Μουρνιών διαπιστώθηκε ότι πρόκειται για οβίδα, κατάλοιπο του Β’ παγκοσμίου πολέμου. Οι κάτοικοι ενημέρωσαν την αστυνομία και εν συνεχεία, ενημερώθηκε η αρμόδια υπηρεσία του στρατού, η οποία και επιλήφθηκε του ζητήματος. Σίγουρα ένα απρόσμενο αλλά όχι και τόσο, αφύσικο γεγονός καθώς και σε άλλες περιπτώσεις έχουν προκύψει τέτοιου είδους ευρήματα.
