Bomb squads rushed to an unexploded World War Two hand grenade this morning. Little Walden Road in Saffron Walden was shut after the potentially dangerous discovery.
Bomb specialists dealt with the unexploded device (UXB) while police guarded the area at 7.45am (July 10). The hand grenade has now been removed and traffic is coping well.
