The border areas in Chon Alay district of Osh region and Batken region will be cleared from unexploded shells, ammunition and other explosives since September 20, the Border Guard Service of Kyrgyzstan reported. The demining areas will be cordoned off. The given activities are conducted upon consultation with line agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Border Guard Service asked population in border villages and towns to stay calm and to check any information in local authorities.
