The man was digging in his yard when he found a World War II artillery shell. The bomb squad arrived and did an X-ray of the metal object, determining it could explode, police say. “Members of the public are reminded if they find any kind of suspicious object or item they believe to be explosive to immediately clear the area and contact police,” police said. “Better safe than sorry.”
