Found in Germany while fire-fighting in a former WWII-Fighting-Zone around Berlin, about 5 cm below surface.. Found by stepping on it, “oh – its harder than the ground, could it be – … shit!”. A big mortar grande… dangerous in a Ground Fire, not so dangerous in stepping on it (in compare with (glas-)mines, but nothing you want to have on a scene.
Auch von verrosteten Kriegsrelikten und Waffen können noch Gefahren ausgehen. Beim Fund von Kriegsmaterial wird ein Sicherheitsabstand eingehalten und sofort die Polizei zu verständigen. Der Besitz von Kriegsrelikten ist laut Polizei allgemein verboten.
